Summary: Kirk has the opportunity to check on a rumor he had heard some time ago.

"Hey, Spock! Look outside. It's snowing!" Beaming with the enthusiasm and joy of a small boy Kirk ran to the window and watched the snow falling down. It flurried down in such an amount one could barely see a few meters ahead. There was already a thick layer of snow on everything outside.
"Come on, Spock. We have to take a walk. This is just great!"
Before the Vulcan could say anything, Kirk had handed him his thick winter jacket, cap, scarf and gloves and donned his own. Then, only seconds later, he waited at the door of the small cabin which he had rented during their shore leave because he wanted to introduce Spock to winter in the forests of the Rocky Mountains.
Knowing he had no choice, Spock made a low sigh, then got dressed in his protective clothing.
Outside it was less cold than he had expected--he estimated the temperature approximately two degrees over the freezing point. He didn't wonder any longer about the thick flakes.
Kirk had taken a few steps and now he just stood there, his face upturned to the gray sky. The flakes fell on his cheeks and also hid themselves between his blond strands.
"You should wear a cap, Jim."
"Why, Spock? This way it is much better. I don't plan to stay outside a long time. But there is nothing more beautiful than walking among the falling snow. You can feel it melting on your skin, or you can catch the flakes in your mouth, taste them..." Laughing, he opened his mouth and tried to catch some.
"Or you can create snow angels." Following his own words, Kirk let himself fall back in the snow and spreading arms and legs widely apart, he pushed some of the snow away from the ground. Then he jumped up and gestured to the now visible outlined figure.
"Look, an angel," he said with a proud voice.
In Spock's opinion, he was acting like a child at play. But it was just another face of the man he had learned to love. And during the last days he had seen many new faces of Jim.
Smiling almost invisibly, Spock allowed himself to get lost in the memories of the past days--and nights. First he hadn't planned to accept Kirk's invitation but the Human had talked him into the journey and finally he had obeyed. After his arrival only one day had passed until both had become aware of their mutual love. They had talked about their feelings, their wishes and after that they had spent the days--and especially the nights--in a condition which could only be described as floating. Never before he had been so happy. Never before he had known such a tender and at the same time impetuous passion. Never before he had felt more secure and cared for.
He enjoyed every hour, no, every minute in Jims presence. At first it wasn't easy for him to show his love openly, but he had learned fast. And Jim mirrored these feelings..
Tenderness flooded through the newly formed bond when Jim got a glimpse of Spock's thoughts and emotions.
It was Christmas--the time of love. And Spock had never before been given a greater gift than Jim's love.
Something rushed past him and shook him out of his memories. The snowball flew against the branches of a fir tree loaded thickly with snow. In the next moment a cold white blanket fell down and covered Spock in a layer of snow.
Laughing Kirk approached him and helped him to shake the snow from his clothing. "I'm sorry, but the temptation was too much when I saw you lost so deeply in thought." Still grinning he bent forward to kiss the warm lips.
Then he reached for the Vulcan's hand, which was clad in thick gloves.
"Come on, let's take a walk through the forest."
Silent, they walked among the deeply snow-covered trees. Here, down in the forest less snow was falling. It was very quiet, only the sound of their footsteps disturbed the silence around them. Not just the sounds, the lights were also dimmed. It was a soft, almost golden light which lay on everything, making the forest itself seem to glow with the mystic lights of Christmas.
After some time they came to a halt and looked around, admiring the view of the branches covered with a thick layer of snow. Everything really seemed to be under the spell of a benevolent fairy. They enjoyed the scene around them and their newfound proximity to each other.
Finally they turned to go home again. It wasn't a long walk, but the sun was already going down and it was getting cold rather quickly.
When they reached the cabin, Spock was shivering from cold and Kirk worried about him. "It would be a good idea to take a hot bath, Spock. In the meantime I'll prepare something hot to warm us up from the inside."
Just nodding Spock did as he was told as soon as they were back in the cabin.
Kirk placed the box with the cocoa powder back into the cabinet, when he noticed some small bags with Christmas spices. He hesitated briefly, then he added some spices to the beverage, laughing mischievously. That was the perfect opportunity to check on a rumor which had been on his mind for some time now.
In the meantime Spock had taken a hot bath and had made himself comfortable on the sofa in front of the fireplace. Smiling, Kirk noticed the naked body under the woolen blanket Spock had covered himself with.
Being a very quiet and private man, a scene like that would have been completely illogical for Spock a few days before. They had been friends, but never before Spock had allowed himself to relax in this way--not even in Kirk's presence. It was good this also had changed.
Kirk handed Spock one cup filled with steaming cocoa and sat down behind him.
"There is nothing more delicious than this to warm one up after a walk through the snow."
Leaning back against Kirk, Spock closed his hands around the hot cup. Carefully he blew against the floating steam, then took a sip. Immediately he could feel a pleasant warmth rise inside his body, increased by the hot cup in his hands and the warm body behind him. Sighing contentedly he let his head sink back against Kirk's shoulder.
For some time it was quiet. Only their breath and the crackling of the fire could be heard.
Finally Kirk put down his empty cup and embraced Spock. His hands dove under the blanket and started a tender exploration of the Vulcan's body.
Closing his eyes Spock welcomed it. A few days ago he never would have thought of allowing tender caresses like these. Now he was glad he had accepted Kirk's invitation.
Toying with the soft hair on Spock's torso, Kirk started to make small circles around the sensuous nipples. It was a tender, slow caress. Suddenly, new sensations rose in the Vulcan's body, sensations thus far unknown. Instinctively he snuggled closer against Kirk. His breathing increased when arousal flooded his body. He tried to calm down the disquieting sensations. What was happening? Never before had he reacted so fast to Kirk's caresses.
Becoming suspicious Spock lifted his head and looked at the rest of the cocoa in his cup. "Jim. What ingredients did you use to prepare this drink?"
"Is it important?"
Kirk buried his face in the crook of Spock's neck and deeply breathed in his special scent. His lips found the sensuous spot behind the lobe and he kissed it.
Spock sighed low. Then, almost unwillingly, he turned his head away. "It is important, Jim. What did you use?"
"If it is so important to you..." Kirk murmured slightly diverted. He had found the pulse and the tip of his tongue teased the soft spot.
A tremor ran down Spock's spine and he leaned into the caress. His body trembled and a hunger for more than only a few touches rose in him.
Pushing the blanket away he turned around in Kirk's embrace. Gathering him in his arms, Spock started to kiss the Human passionately.
Forgotten was the cocoa and forgotten were the unknown ingredients.
Only moments later Kirk found himself on his back on the sofa, one very passionate and very impatient Vulcan above him.
"Hey, easy my friend...," Kirk murmured, but secretly he enjoyed the impetuous touches. He had never experienced them with Spock until now. Spock was passionate and sensual, but it had always been Kirk's task to start the action. This was a completely new face of Spock.
The buttons of Kirk's shirt refused to obey the impatient Vulcan fingers so Spock tore them open instead. Trousers and briefs followed only seconds later.
Snuggling against the now naked Kirk, Spock again kissed him passionately. His hands slid down over the soft, cool skin and aroused Kirk with speed never before known to him.
Kirk moaned and pressed himself against Spock, but the sofa was too narrow for more action. He pushed against the hot body of the Vulcan. "Come on Spock. There is more room in bed..."
It seemed as if the Vulcan had heard him, although he was caught in his sexual need as never before. He got up and gathering the Human in his arms he went to the bedroom as fast as possible. There, he let himself fall down on the bed with his burden, continuing with his impatient caresses. But it wasn't enough. He needed more.
Acting almost unconsciously he finally reached for the meld points in Kirk's face. At once a strong connection built up between their minds, driving both even deeper in their mutual need. Sensing a deeply buried wish in Kirk's mind, he backed away from Kirk, turned the Human onto his back and then pressed him down with superior Vulcan strength.
Surprised, Kirk moaned and pushing his groin against the Vulcan he wound his legs around the slender hips. Without any noticeable resistance Spock followed the hint and buried himself deep within the cool human body. The new and unexpected sensations made him cry out.
Kirk writhed beneath him. He wanted to feel more, needed more. Instinctively Spock copied the rhythm and started to thrust with deep and fast movements. Kirk's body trembled, and overwhelmed with passion, Kirk couldn't hold on any longer. With a satisfied groan he came and took Spock with him over the edge of pleasure.
"What ingredients were in the cocoa, Jim?"
"Hmm?" Kirk needed a moment to came back to reality. Never before he had been seduced like that. He smiled and snuggled closer against Spock. "You really do want to know, don't you?"
"Otherwise I wouldn't ask."
Sensing the impatience in the Vulcan's voice, Kirk leaned upon an elbow and looked at his friend. One slender eyebrow went up.
"If you really insist on an answer... " Kirk used his fingers to count the ingredients. "Let's see... There's cocoa, milk, sugar... I think I forgot something..."
"Jim!" Spock also sat up.
Wearing his best poker face, Kirk went on. "Ahh... I remember. I added some cinnamon, cardamom and vanilla. Just in order to make it taste more spicy and *Christmas-like*."
"In order to make it taste more...?!" Both brows shoot up and hid themselves behind the ruffled bangs.
Kirk nodded enthusiastically. "Yes. Mom used to make cocoa for me and Sam this way during winter."
Sighing, Spock let himself fall back onto the pillows. He gave Kirk a short glance. Now he understood...
"I suppose you didn't know the fact that, in presence of sugar said spices have a... special effect on Vulcans?"
Kirk tried to look innocent. "Every one of them?"
Dark eyes regarded him suspiciously. "Every single one of them!"
"And which effect would that be?"
"They are known as very potent aphrodisiacs."
For a moment Kirk tried to calm himself, but Spock's miffed face tore his control apart. Grinning widely he bent forward to kiss his beloved Vulcan. "Yes, Spock, this special... effect was known to me."
